| Sophistication With Soffits |
| Castered Comfortable Chairs Can Be Adjusted And Swiveled To Engage In Conversation Or To Watch TV |
The word soffit can mean many things. Sometimes it is nothing more than a dropped area in a room. At times the same simple soffit houses hi-hat lighting. A soffit may also be a dropped area to conceal the tops of draperies or other window treatments. Soffits may be shaped to follow the contour or design of a table, seating arrangement or bar beneath it.
Ronald Piper's interpretation of a soffit in the pertaining photograph is as unusual a creation as ever you will find. This soffit does follow the shape of the bar beneath. It does illuminate the bar. The hard surface material on the bar top is repeated on the above four-tiered soffit.

Heavy wood bullnose which sweeps the curves of the bar are also duplicated on the soffit above. The wall mirror not only duplicates the spansiveness, but also creates a semi circular 10 seated entertainment area.
Bars complimented by castered comfortable chairs can be turned, adjusted and swiveled to engage in conversations with others, and/or to watch TV. Bars are not necessarily liquor sources. |

Converse, Snack, Eat Or
Sip A Soft Drink
Bars are central social spots where people gather to converse, snack, eat or sip a soft drink. They become part of the living room, therefore creating a Great Room in conjunction with the living room sofa and chairs.

Space Becomes Doubled, Rooms Enlarged
Space becomes doubled. Rooms become enlarged. A glass top cocktail table services those at the sofa who may be chatting with one another at the far end of the Great Room.

Finishing Touch Of Sophistication
Full floor-to-ceiling large blade shutters neatly adjust to the sun's brightness during the day, the outdoor offerings during the evening and the constant finishing touch of sophistication.
